During our most recent Cleanse Retreat in Thailand, I had the opportunity to visit with the local market vendors that set up shop everyday. Since many people do not have refrigeration or much room for storage at home, they purchase daily from the market. Plenty of exotic tropical fruits, vegetables, fishes, meats, and other interesting sources of protein.
Here is a selection of photos from Halé’s most recent hike along the Lycian Way in southwest Turkey. More than 300 miles of ancient foothpaths and mule roads link tiny villages in the Taurus Mountains from Fethiye to Antalya on this incredible Turquoise Coast. We now have 3-day, 5-day or 7-day treks every spring. We stay in villages or small pensiyons and meet with incredible simplicity and hospitality everywhere we go.

Halé has been teaching and traveling in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. This area is exceptionally fertile and has abundant varieties of vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts, herbs, olives, and goat cheeses. The scenes shown here are from the mountainous areas near the coastal city of Antalya, where she has been teaching her spring and fall programs.
A selection of photos from Halé’s workshops at the Hillside Su Hotel in Antalya, Turkey.
The farmers markets in Istanbul are a feast for the eyes as well all the senses. The local bazaars provide weekly community gatherings around the fresh produce, grains and beans, seeds and nuts, herbs and spices, eggs, fresh caught fish, olives and cheeses.
